 MAPOLY emerges first polytechnic on Google
Apps in Nigeria
Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,Abeokuta has again
scored another first amongst its contemporaries
in the country.
This time,MAPOLY has become the first
polytechnic in Nigeria to be approved on Google
Apps for Education by the global outfit,GOOGLE.
Google Apps for Education,which has been
developed with high level international security
certifications,has many interesting features such
as, Gmail for the school which puts every
member of staff and students on customized
mails with the school's name and logo,Google
calendar,Google drive-which provides surveys for
classes,brainstorm notes for group projects,and
chat platform amongst others,Google Sites and
Google Plus.
Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,Abeokuta,which is
also in collaborative talks with foreign
institutions,as a result of this development,has
the latest technologies and some of the best
practices in the industry for data centre
management,best-in-class disaster
recovery,rapid updates and configuration
changes across the entire network,reduction in
risk of lost USB drives and laptops as staff and
students can access information securely from
anywhere.
2. Staff and Students Undergo Training on Google
App
The Management has approved the training of
staff and students of the polytechnic on Google
Apps for Education.
The training,which will be held between
Monday,13th and Tuesday,14th July,2015 at the
Ramotu Ibironke Babalakin Auditorium,will be
attended by various categories of staff and
students' representative as follows:
Day 1: Monday,13th July,2015

Day 2: Tuesday,14th July,2015
First Session
